A number of posts surfaced on social media platforms alleging that FACEIT was banned by the Russian government and the region's players could no longer access the platform. Instances where regular Russian Counter-Strike players faced problems opening FACEIT surfaced a couple of days back and just as the community began speculating the government's hand in the restriction, things cleared up. According to a Telegram channel, the issue lies with individual internet service providers who seem to be blocking Cloudflare, which holds up FACEIT's website.
Some have revealed that using a VPN is the easiest workaround at the moment and the use of VPN has become quite common in Russia given that major sites like YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, Facebook and X are restricted in the region.
