Finals spot booked for Chinese team

Morningstar have beaten Change The Game in the final of the ESL Challenger League Season 51 Asia-Pacific Cup 1 and the win nets Morningstar not only a prize money of $5000 but also a place in the ESL Challenger League Season 51 Asia-Pacific Finals. The final of Cup 1 went the distance, with all three maps needed as Morningstar came out on top in the end.

The opening map was Change The Game's pick of Inferno was a string of rounds from each team in the opening half as Morningstar started with a two round lead on their CT half and it was the rage and rubeN show that saw Morningstar pick up a 13-7 win to draw first blood. Mirage was a similar story as both teams started with streaks of four rounds each and after another 7-5 lead for Morningstar, it was seven consecutive rounds from Change The Game to get their T side going that helped them pick up a 13-10 win with ProKiller and VanceKK topping the scoreboard with 21 kills each.

After tieing up the score on Mirage, Change The Game failed to carry that momentum into Dust2 as Morningstar ran through their compatriots with a stellar T side seeing them go 8-4 up before closing things out with a flawless CT side to pick up a 13-4 win and take the series 2-1.
