The MongolZ fight past Aurora to keep winning run going
The MongolZ have moved a step closer to the Playoffs after picking up another 2-0 win at the ongoing ESL Pro League Season 23 Stage 2. The Mongolian team beat Aurora 2-0 in their swiss round 2 game for teams with a 1-0 record.
Aurora's pick of Nuke was the series opener and a force buy win on the CT side along with capitalising on multiple low buy and man disadvantage situations saw The MongolZ tie up the opening half before a strong T side led by 910 saw The MongolZ start the series with a 13-9 win with the Mongolian AWPer top fragging with 21 kills and a 1.39 rating.
bLitz kicked off Mirage with a 1v2 clutch on the T side which propelled them to a 4-0 start before the trio of XANTARES, Wicadia and soulfly kept Aurora alive on The MongolZ's pick with a two round lead at the break. Aurora evened out the pistols but once again dropped a round to a force buy which saw The MongolZ fight back. A back and forth affair ended the map with The MongolZ stealing a 13-11 win to close the series 2-0, with a couple of man disadvantage retakes in the final coupe of rounds.
The win puts The MongolZ into the 2-0 bracket and bLitz and co. are one BO3 win away from making the LAN finals.
