
PGL Astana 2026: Asian qualifiers underway
PGL Astana 2026 is a couple of months away and is set to be PGL's third event of the year. The organizer has announced the closed qualifier teams for the event with the Asia-Pacific region's three open qualifiers currently in progress. The sub regions under Asia are divided as follows:
The West Asian qualifier is also open to Indian teams. The two-day open qualifier will conclude today after starting with a single-elimination bracket yesterday. The bracket switches to best-of-three matches towards the latter end. The top two teams head into the West Asian closed qualifier where two teams invites through the Asian VRS will join the fight.

The Asian qualifier will feature one team each from the closed qualifiers in a single-elimination best-of-three bracket on 2nd April 2026. A best-of-five grand-final will determine the Asian team heading to the main event. PGL Astana 2026 is a $800,000 USD LAN set to take place in the second week of May.
