XSE GangKui Cup S2: Preview

XSE GangKui Cup Season 2 is set to begin this Thursday. The $15,000 USD LAN will take place in Shanghai, China with eight teams placed in a double-elimination best-of-three bracket. The tournament could make or break Major dreams for several teams given its conclusion date of 5th April 2026- just a single day before the invites go out for the IEM Cologne Major.

TYLOO, The Huns and Chinggis Warriors who are right outside the invites range will look to push further with a lights out showing at the GangKui Cup Season 2 while teams like FlyQuest and SemperFi who are already sitting within the invites range will look to do crucial damage control and maintain their invite status. THUNDER dOWNUNDER is the only team alongside The MongolZ from the Asian VRS to have virtually confirmed their IEM Cologne invites while SemperFi, FlyQuest and Lynn Vision will have to defend their spots.

TYLOO's opening game at XSE GangKui Cup S2 comes against SemperFi and an upper bracket run for the Chinese side could net them a spot within the IEM Cologne Major's invites range. However, The Chinese is simultaneously playing two LANs in China with the other one being Yuqilin POB Season 3.
