5star wins MESA Pro Series Spring 2026
Mongolian team 5star, consisting of the likes of aruicle, NEUZ and rate, has won the MESA Pro Series Spring 2026 title after beating fellow compatriots yunglean in the final of the $3,000 LAN event held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The final kicked off on 5star's pick of Nuke, where yunglean's nine-round CT half was the deciding factor as they started with a 13-9 win. 5star fought back on Dust2 with hoolig4n's 24 kill, 2.00 rating show seeing 5star stomp their opponents 13-5. On Mirage, it was the NEUZ show as a 10-2 T start helped 5star complete a 13-5 win to final 2-1.
The four-team main LAN event saw 5star, yunglean, NEXVOID and ZEVS fight it out in the Playoffs with 5star starting their campaign with a 2-1 win over NEXVOID. 5star had faced yunglean in the upper bracket final, where they lost 1-2 and have to beat NEXVOID once again in the Consolidation final. A rematch of the upper bracket final saw 5star complete the reverse sweep and take revenge for the previous loss.
One of the final tournaments wrapping up before the IEM Cologne Major 2026 invite cut-off date on April 6, 2026, the tournament will not make a difference in the Asian invite list as neither of the four Playoff teams are in contention to head to Cologne.
