Lynn Vision won Yuqilin POB S3 without playing a single map in the playoffs

Lynn Vision's Major qualification marred by controversy

The Lynn Vision drama explained

With XSE GangKui Cup Season 2 and Yuqilin Pinnacle of Battle Season 3 coming to a close yesterday, the race for the Asian IEM Cologne 2026 invites has concluded. The invites range (#2 to #5) in the Asian VRS was previously dominated by Australian off of regional LANs like DFRAG Wildcard LAN and ANZC Locals Brisbane but a handful of Asian LANs saw Lynn Vision and TYLOO fly up to swoop two spots off the list. Both teams attracted criticism from the community, with the latter attending simultaneous LANs to guarantee their ascent.

Lynn Vision on the other hand had a whole another thing going at Yuqilin Pinnacle of Battle Season 3. After Lynn Vision cleared a flawless group stage, they took stage to take on Rare Atom on LAN in the upper semi-final. The Chinese derby was binned as Rare Atom did not show up for their game, netting Lynn Vision crucial VRS points in a tight Asian race for the top five. Things got weirder as TYLOO who 2-0'd Change The Game in the upper semi-final, withdrew from their match against Lynn Vision and just like that, Lynn Vision were in the grand-final of the tournament without having to face an opponent.

The celebs start to post their crits (criticism) just now. Where are you when teams all farming their points in their own local LANs?
Lynn Vision in response to community backlash

Multitasking between LANs, TYLOO took on Change The Game and beat them again in the consolidation final with a flawless 2-0 to set up a grand-final clash against Lynn Vision. However, TYLOO handed in a forfeit again, netting Lynn Vision a grand-final and title win without having to play a single map in the playoffs. The tournament, along with the participants came under scrutiny as the community pointed out selective forfeits and called for better tournament regulations from Valve. A sizeable portion of the community criticized Chinese Counter-Strike for letting teams "farm VRS points" from local LANs to boost their VRS positions.

On the other hand, Chinese Counter-Strike fans hit back, pointing out Oceanic local LANs and how they allowed teams like SemperFi and Ground Zero climb into the Asian top five without facing non-Oceanic opponents. TYLOO later released a statement, clarifying that their grand-final forfeit was due to health conditions of two of their players- JamYoung and Moseyuh. "The truth is teams just tried their best to gain more VRS points through the system, and we just happen to be the lucky guy who benefited most", said Lynn Vision on confirming their Cologne Major invite.
