Aurora to miss CAC 2026
Perfect World has announced that Aurora will pull out of the upcoming CS Asia Championships 2026 due to visa issues. The next in line- Ninjas in Pyjamas were handed an invite and the organization has confirmed their participation in the event.
Carrying a prize pool of $1,000,000 USD, CS Asia Championships 2026 will bring sixteen teams to Shanghai, China for a four-day LAN. Lynn Vision and TYLOO bagged their slots from the closed qualifier and are set to take stage in their home turf. Some of the top teams in the world like The MongolZ, Falcons, MOUZ and PARIVISION are likely to come into the tournament as massive favorites.
The tournament will kick off with the group stages on May 20- May 22, which will see the 16 teams divided into two groups of 8 and will follow a double elimination bracket. The opening games will be BO1s before moving to BO3s. The group winners will directly qualify for the semi-finals while the second and third placed teams will play deciders. The Playoffs will take place on May 23 and May 24, 2026 and will be a single elimination encounter. The semi-finals and the third place decider game will be BO3 encounters while the final will be a BO5 match.
