Chinggis Warriors survive NEXVOID scare
Hero Asian Champions League 2026 has just kicked off with the first set of matches in Group A coming to a close. The tournament began with FlyQuest taking on JijieHao and Chinggis Warriors locking horns with NEXVOID simultaneously. Before FlyQuest began their Hero ACL campaign, their Portuguese AWPer story revealed the team's lack of quality practice sessions and pointed out their limited LAN exposure in 2026, all of which reflected in their opening map.

FlyQuest's series against JijieHao began on Ancient, picked by the latter and both teams drew an even 6-6 first half after FlyQuest fumbled a solid 4-1 start on the CT-side. JijieHao's CT-side kept FlyQuest at bay, restricting them to just two rounds in the second half. JijieHao snatched a 13-8 win on Ancient, taking a 1-0 lead in the series.
The Australian side quickly reset and took the attack to JijieHao on Nuke. FlyQuest converted a strong 6-0 lead into a 9-3 half on their T-side and pulled off a flawless CT-side to hand JijieHao a crushing 3-13 defeat on Nuke, levelling the series at 1-1. jks outclassed the middle-eastern core with a phenomenal 2.01 rating game at an ADR of 114.9. The decider took us to Mirage where things went neck to neck until FlyQuest took a 11-9 lead towards the end. However, FlyQuest choked their lead and ended up conceding Mirage 11-13 as JijieHao took the series 2-1.

Chinggis Warriors vs NEXVOID
NEXVOID forfeit their opening map against Chinggis Warriors as Zesta could not play due to "technical difficulties". After handing over the opening map to Chinggis Warriors and conceding a 0-1 deficit in the series, NEXVOID took to Overpass with their coach standing in and the cracks in their system were clearly visible as they conceded a 3-9 T-side.
NEXVOID returned the favor on their CT-side to recover from the six-round deficit and take Overpass 16-13. NEXVOID nearly did the unthinkable in the decider- Nuke, levelling the first half and hitting match point at 12-9. However, Chinggis Warriors took the game to overtime and closed it 19-15 in the second overtime, bagging a 2-1 series win after getting a free pass in the opening map.
