5star and CW stay alive in the lower bracket at Hero ACL
After JijieHao and TYLOO proceeded to the upper final by taking down Chinggis Warriors and 5star, the lower bracket in Group A is now underway and the lower semi-finals have just concluded. FlyQuest and Ground Zero survived the first round by taking down NEXVOID and Rare Atom, setting up their lower semis clash with Mongolian sides 5star and Chinggis Warriors. Here's a quick recap of the lower semi-finals in Group A at the Her Asian Champions League:

5star vs
FlyQuest
FlyQuest started the series with a dominant CT-side showing on Dust2 after drawing a 6-6 half against 5star. Their 7-1 CT-side powered by Vexite's impressive 3.29 rating half at and ADR of 175, fetched FlyQuest the opening map 13-7 and a 1-0 lead in the series. Vexite delivered one of the strongest CT-side showings in the tournament so far, going 16-1 in the second half.
The Aussies suffered a 4-8 deficit on the CT-side of Ancient but mounted a stern comeback to bag eight T-side rounds and push the game into overtime. 5star dropped just a single round in overtime to close Ancient 16-13 as FlyQuest's T-side comeback went in vain. The decider took us to Inferno and FlyQuest were handed a crushing 2-10 disadvantage on their T-side with each and every individual stepping up for 5star. FlyQuest tried their hand at another comeback but ran out of steam towards the end, conceding Inferno 9-13 as 5star wrapped up the series 2-1.
FlyQuest's struggles in 2026 continue as the Australian side crash out of yet another tournament with little to show for.

Chinggis Warriors vs
Ground Zero
The series started on Chinggis Warriors' map pick of Nuke and Ground Zero did well to avert an early disaster, coming back from a 0-5 deficit on their CT-side to tie the half 6-6. However, Chinggis Warriors completely derailed Ground Zero's T-side, delivering a flawless second half. With three players posting ratings over 1.70 on the CT-side, Chinggis Warriors went 7-0 in the second half to secure Nuke 13-6.
Ground Zero started Inferno with pistol, anti-eco and bonus conversions on the T-side but Chinggis Warriors took no time to regain their opening map's CT-side form once the gun rounds began. A 127 ADR showing from Efire fetched Chinggis Warriors a 9-3 lead in the first half and the Mongolian side dropped just a single round in the second half to close Inferno 13-4 and the series 2-0.
