Hero Asian Champions League Playoffs: Preview
With TYLOO taking down 5star and THUNDERdOWNUNDER securing a hard fought win against Kaleido yesterday, the group-finals across both groups are now set. The group-finals will also act as the semi-final of the event with the winners heading to the best-of-five grand-final. JijieHao maintained upper bracket status in Group A and will take on TYLOO again in the group-final. TYLOO suffered a 0-2 loss against JijieHao in the upper final of group A but cleared the consolidation final to set up a rematch.
Lynn Vision has put up a dominant performance in group B so far, dropping just a single map in their upper bracket journey. THUNDERdOWNUNDER were knocked down to the lower bracket in the very first round but fought their way through with their backs against elimination, even taking down Haunted House who sent them to the lower bracket in the first place to lock in their group final clash against Lynn Vision.
The winner of the Hero Asian Champions League not only walks away with a, $80,000 USD cash prize but also an Esports World Cup 2026 slot as Hero ACL acts as the Asian qualifier for the $2,000,000 USD event. Esports World Cup 2026's Counter-Strike 2 tournament will take place in August but the specifics around the event are still under speculation.
