Lynn Vision fights off THUNDER dOWNDUNER to make Hero Esports ACL 2026 final
Lynn Vision has confirmed their place in the final of the Hero Esports Asian Champions League 2026 following their win over Australian squad THUNDER dOWNUNDER in the Group B grand final. After suffering a comprehensive defeat on the opening map, Lynn Vision pulled off a reverse sweep to make the final in front of their home crowd in Shanghai. They will now take on JiJieHao in the final with a spot in the Esports World Cup 2026 up for grabs.
Lynn Vision started their pick of Dust2 with the T pistol and conversions to go 7-2 up before impactful rounds from Liazz and TjP saw THUNDER dOWNUNDER pull it back to a 7-5 half in the Chinese team's favour. Lynn Vision looked like they had the map booked after picking up a much needed force buy but a late mid to B split saw THUNDER dOWNUNDER steal a round with Deagles and Tec-9s and the Australian squad built on that to break Lynn Vision economy early in the half to head to a 13-9 win.
On the Australian team's pick of Nuke, it was one-way traffic as Westmelon and Starry led a dominant CT half for Lynn Vision, which saw them go 10-2 up. It seemed like it was only on CT sides one could get rounds as THUNDER dOWNUNDER put up eight in a row to tie up the game at 10-10 before Lynn Vision edged out at the very end for a 13-10 win.
The decider on Inferno saw another one-sided CT half to get things going as this time it was one better from Lynn Vision, as they went 11-1 up and eased to a 13-5 win to complete the reverse sweep and lock in the 2-1 series win.
