
TYLOO, The Huns start BLAST Rising Asia with 2-0 wins
GGMEDIA Challenger Series 1 has started today and the tournament will operate as BLAST Rising Asia 2026, giving teams a chance to book their BLAST Open Porto 2026 slot. A total of eight teams- four invited and four qualified, are put in a single-elimination best-of-three bracket. Here's how the first half of the bracket went down in the quarter-finals:
The Huns vs Kaleido
The first quarter-final began on Ancient with Kaleido on the CT-side where they did fairly well in containing The Huns. Kaleido's marginal 7-5 advantage was erased right away when The Huns put four on the trot to start their CT-side. With 12 frags a piece in the second half, nin9 and bexys powered The Huns to a 13-10 win on Ancient.
The Huns carried their momentum into Dust2, coming out swinging with a 6-1 start on the CT-side. suki and rage came alive towards the end of the half as Kaleido recovered and split an even 6-6 half. After a brief back and forth in the second half, The Huns regained momentum towards the end and closed Dust2 13-11 off of four T-side rounds in a row, winning the series 2-0.

TYLOO vs The MongolZ Academy
TYLOO, who had a fantastic group stage run at the XSE Pro League 2026 and fell to 9z in their first playoffs game yesterday, were back in action today against The MongolZ Academy in the second quarter-final. The series began on Ancient with a JamYoung CT-side masterclass. The Chinese star delivered a 2.31 rating half at an ADR of 141 to fetch TYLOO a massive 10-2 lead. Mercury was right behind with an ADR of 120. Dropping just a single round in the second half, TYLOO closed Ancient 13-3.
Heading into the Dust2, TYLOO put up near flawless T-side on Mirage, handing The MongolZ Academy a crippling 1-11 deficit in the first half. The MongolZ Academy were just absent individually with not a single player hitting double digits on Mirage in stark contrast to TYLOO where three individuals put up ratings in excess of 1.60. TYLOO secured a dominant 13-1 win on Mirage and closed the series 2-0 to book their semi-final spot.
