HERO ACL 2027 and 2028 announced

Through a post on X, HERO Esports has announced that the Hero Asian Champions League will return in 2027 and 2028. This tournament has served as the Asian qualifier for the Esports World Cup in that particular year and will likely do so for in 2027 and 2028. The tournament organizer has revealed that the 2027 iteration of Hero Asian Champions league will see an increase in the number of teams in the main event.

Hero Asian Champions League 2027 will host 24 teams invited through the Asian VRS alongside a single wildcard invite. These invites will go out based on March 2027's VRS update. The prize pool for the event's 2027 iteration will more or less remain the same with the winner taking home $80,000 USD and an invite to the Esports World Cup 2027. The closed qualifier for HERO ACL 2027 will take place on 19th, 20th and 21st March 2027. While the organizer has revealed dates for HERO ACL 2028's main event, additional details are yet to be announced.
