Monte eliminate Grayhound

The Group B lower bracket game was the second game of Day 2 of IEM Sydney 2023 as Grayhound and Monte went up against each other.

First up was Grayhound's pick of Nuke with Monte having a strong CT half, taking an 8-4 lead. Monte dropped only one round on their T side as Nuke was closed out at 13-5.

Monte were looking to close things out on their pick of Anubis with Grayhound putting up a stronger fight this time with a 5-7 half. It was a more competitive half from the home team, who eventually took the lead at 11-8 but failed to close out the game which meant Monte won the map at 13-11 as br0 closed the map with a P90 ace.

With the 2-0 win, Monte stay alive in Australia and will face the loser of the ENCE and fnatic match but it also means Grayhound's journey come to an end.
