dexter's Sydney Playoffs dreams shattered by Monte
The opening game of the final day of IEM Sydney 2023 groups was the Group B lower bracket semi-final between Monte and fnatic.
fnatic's pick of Overpass was the series opener with fnatic taking an 8-4 lead on their T side to start things. Monte pushed fnatic to secure a comeback but fnatic hung on to win the map at 13-10.

Monte's pick of Anubis was over even before it started as Monte ran away with the map, closing it out at 13-4.
Vertigo was the decider and it was Monte starting with a 7-5 lead on the T side as the young Dane, br0 was causing all sorts of problems for dexter and his boys. Monte dropped only a single round in the second half as they picked up Vertigo at 13-6 to knock fnatic and hometown hero dexter out of the Playoffs race.
