Gods Reign edge out True Rippers in hard-fought 2-0 win

The LB round 3 game saw Gods Reign take on True Rippers, with both teams having won their respective BO3 games earlier on in the day. This was the first time Crazy_Gamer went up against his old squad, after having debuted for True Rippers the day before.

The series kicked off on Mirage with Gods Reign starting on the CT side with the pistol round. A strong half from the trio of f1redup, reV3nnnn and Ph1NNN saw Gods Reign start with a 8-4 lead. True Rippers fought back to push the map to overtime. Gods Reign though, hung on in overtime for a 16-14 win.

Gods Reign kicked off Ancient by picking up the T-sided pistol. The pistol win propelled Bhavi and his boys to a 5-0 start. True Rippers pulled it back to a 7-5 half in Gods Reign's favour, as Mcg1LLzZz made sure they weren't going down without a fight. True Rippers tied things up after taking the second pistol and once again pushed the map to overtime. Gods Reign hung on for a 16-13 win with f1redup and Bhavi topping the scoreboard with 27 and 25 kills respectively.

Gods Reign will now face Grayfox Esports tomorrow in the LB Final, with the winner of the game booking their spot in the Grand Final against Legacy Esports.
