Techno speaks about The MongolZ's maiden LANXESS Arena appearance

"Its an honor to make my country and Asia proud": Techno

The MongolZ begin their IEM Cologne playoffs campaign tomorrow

Following their loss against Vitality in Group A's upper-final at IEM Cologne 2025, The MongolZ will start in the quarter-final against NAVI. The Mongolian side will create history tomorrow, becoming the first Asian Counter-Strike team to take stage at the LANXESS Arena for the playoffs of an IEM Cologne event. Dust2.dk caught up with Techno from The MongolZ yesterday for quick chat and here's what the young Mongolian rifler had to say.

Techno spoke about the team's emotions towards their first LANXESS Arena appearance and stated how they came close in previous iterations.

It feels amazing, of course. This is my third time here in Cologne, and finally we succeeded in getting into the playoffs. The first time we were close, but this time we came with more experience.

Speaking about The MongolZ's loss to Vitality in the upper-final, Techno admits that the team wasn't up to the mark in that game and believed that they could've pulled through if the series headed into the decider, Overpass. Techno then goes on to talk about how NAVI without jL feels like a different side and The MongolZ's confidence coming into that matchup.

We were bad yesterday. We didn't play well. If we had come out on the third map, Overpass, I actually think we could have won. (Against NAVI) We expect to win. They have a new player, macazze, who is really good, but he's still new. NAVI, without jL, is not the same team as they were before.

To conclude, Techno spoke about the weight of the success The MongolZ have has over the last year and how it felt to carry the hopes and dreams of the Asian Counter-Strike community.

Of course, it is an honor to make both the country and the entire Asia proud. There is a lot of pressure. Everyone looks at us so we have to be professional, humble and good people.
