NAVI crush The MongolZ's Cologne hopes
Natus Vincere's (NAVI) newest signing, makazze had a big performance on the stage at the LANXESS Arena as NAVI sent The MongolZ packing from IEM Cologne 2025. The quarter-final encounter kicked off with a barnburner before NAVI bullied The MongolZ out of Cologne.
Despite locking in the pistol and conversions, a stellar CT half from The MongolZ saw them go 8-4 up as they looked like they would run away with their opponent's map pick, especially after winning the second pistol. Aleksib's Five-Seven saw NAVI pick up a crucial force buy and makazze woke up after a slow start with b1t and w0nderful pushing it to overtime. A back and forth affair finally came to an end in third overtime as NAVI stole a 22-18 win.
The MongolZ went missing to get their pick of Ancient underway as NAVI raced away to a 9-1 start and after an 11-1 half, it was a comfortable close at 13-6 with young makazze topping the scoreboard on Ancient with 23 kills.
