Nemiga take down Steel Helmet
Steel Helmet started off on the T-side of Mirage with pistol and anti-eco wins but Nemiga dominated the buy rounds, locking down a solid CT-defense to restrict Steel Helmet to a 3-9 half. Steel Helmet could not recover from there, conceding the map 13-3, going 0-1 down in the series.
The second map took us to Ancient where again Steel Helmet got the pistol and anti-eco but fumbled. The trio of FL4MUS, riskyb0b and 1eeR tore through Steel Helmet's defense, sliding an 8-4 T-half in their favor.
Steel Helmet lacked in terms of individual performances with just captainMo dropping a handful of multi-kill rounds. Steel Helmet stood no chance against Nemiga's CT-side in the second half, conceding Ancient 4-13 and the series 0-2.
With this win, Nemiga have booked their lower-bracket semi-finals spot against FlyQuest and have eliminated Steel Helmet from IEM Chengdu 2024. It was a series to remember for FL4MUS, as he dropped 37 frags at an ADR of 112 and a HLTV rating of 1.73.
