True Rippers head to NESC 2024 CS2 Grand Final after taking down Grayfox

The Lower Bracket Final of the NESC 2024 CS2 male saw True Rippers, who fell to Gods Reign in the semi-final the day before, take on Grayfox Esports in the BO3 encounter.

Grayfox's pick of Nuke saw them start with the T-sided pistol and a 1v3 from Nox saw them hold on against the force buy. ghostxD's 1v3 saw Grayfox go 4-0 before DEFAULTER's 1v2 on a MP9 on the A site saw True Rippers get their CT side going. True Rippers salvaged the half to turn it around going 7-5 up. A strong T side saw True Rippers close out Nuke at 13-9 on a full Tec-9 buy with Rossi topping the scoreboard with 23 kills while captain DEFAUTLER also had a strong map with 20 kills.

Vertigo started with True Rippers going 3-0 up with Crazy_Gamer's 1v3 in the first gun round helping them keep a clean start to the map. True Rippers ran away to an 9-0 lead easing into either bombsites with ease as Grayfox's defenses had no answer. Grayfox managed to pull back three consecutive rounds in a row to end the half but it was True Rippers closing out the opening half with a 9-3 lead as DEFAULTER was leading from the front with 17 kills.

Grayfox picked up 9 rounds in a row to tie up the score before True Rippers finally managed to complete a retake on the B site to get their 10th round. Grayfox managed to hang on for 13-11, completing an incredible comeback from being 0-9 down to going all the way. It was Nox and ghostxD powering up for Grayfox as they topped the scoreboard on Vertigo with 22 and 19 kills respectively.

Inferno was all True Rippers though as they weren’t slipping up anymore with DEFAULTER and his boys closing things out at 13-4.

The series win sees True Rippers not only book their place in the NESC 2024 CS2 Grand Final but also set up a rematch of their semi-final against Gods Reign and it will be DEFAULTER and his boys looking to set the score straight.
