Bleh: "The map pool is the worst it's ever been for competition"

Indian community reacts to Dust2 rejoining Active Duty Pool

It's between a couple of days since Valve provided the Counter-Strike community with a major update, which saw the iconic map Dust2 return to the Active Duty Pool ,replacing Overpass and the reactions to the update has been mixed.

We spoke to players, talent and others in the Indian Counter-Strike community to find out their reaction about the update.

Noted analyst and caster Bleh didn't mince his words when he shared his opinion about the change and provided his views on the current map pool as well.

Absolutely fantastic QoL updates. But a terrible change bringing in Dust2 for Overpass. The map pool is the worst it's ever been for competition.
Bleh

While Bleh was critical about the change, Gods Reign's AWPer reV3nnnn welcomed the change with open arms, stating that he is looking forward to playing competitive CS on the iconic map.

It's a nice change for me. As an AWPer, it really excites me that Dust2 is back in active duty and I'm excited to AWP on Dust2.

Revenge Esports' IGL Zenovi had mixed feelings about the map but stated that it would increase the player base.

I have ambivalent feelings about Overpass being replaced by Dust2. While Overpass was a solid map, Dust2 is an iconic one that will likely draw many players back to the game. Additionally, the introduction of the new grenade reticle feature is quite exciting, as it will enable players to execute more complex utility throws with precision.

Discussing the changes with IGLs, Gods Reign's captain Bhavi was one who echoed Bleh's feelings about the change.

'It's not good, they should have added Train or Cache and removed Vertigo I guess, it's stained, nothing new'
Bhavi, IGL, Gods Reign

Rossi from True Rippers, though, was one like reV3nnnn who welcomed the change and the True Rippers star is also looking forward to getting into the server on Dust2.

It feels good to have Dust2 back in the map pool, because Dust2 is one of those maps where we just have to shoot instead of having much strategic planning.
We wouldn’t bring much strats into the book for sure, because as i said it’s more of aim oriented & decision making map to play.
I am pretty happy about Dust2 coming back, as I can play my old role again & have more impact for the team as well.
Rossi, True Rippers

While Rossi was looking forward to getting back to action on Dust2, another Indian star f1redup expected a different map to replace Overpass.

Surprised, wish it was Vertigo or Mirage and expected some other map to come in the pool like Cobblestone
