BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 3 Day 3: Recap

The third day at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 3 saw two more three more teams make the Playoffs while two others headed home. We also saw some vintage s1mple performance against The MongolZ with all three CS2 Major finalists till date making sure they booked their Playoffs berth.

1-2 Bracket

3DMAX, Lynn Vision head home

After picking up the opening map, Lynn Vision were nowhere in the server as Brazilian squad Legacy smashed and reverse swept the Chinese team 2-1 out of the Austin Major. Lynn Vision exit the Major 1-3 record in Stage 3. Like Legacy, another Brazilian team, paiN also kept themselves alive after cleaning up 3DMAX in style on the back of a strong comeback on Nuke.

s1mple gets FaZe over The MongolZ challenge; MOUZ send Aurora packing

The MongolZ started their advancement game in style against FaZe on Ancient but a massive comeback on the T side saw FaZe steal the opening map before s1mple turned back the clock to have FaZe 2-0 the Asian team and make Playoffs. The MongolZ now have to win their final game if they want to make Playoffs.

MOUZ, after seeing off Liquid the day before, took on a struggling Aurora and a big win on Mirage saw Brollan and co. stay alive in Austin at the expense of the Turkish squad.

Vitality through to Playoffs, NAVI huff and puff over the line

Vitality wasted no time in dispatching Virtus.pro and ropz and ZywOo stepped up for them to have Vitality sail into the Playoffs on the back of a comfortable 2-0 win. NAVI meanwhile played a thriller against G2 which saw Snax and co. push Aleksib's boys to the limit with NAVI picking up an overtime 19-16 win on Inferno to take the series 2-1 and move into the Playoffs.
