
Senzu scripts history at Austin Major
The MongolZ have cleared yet another group stage and will now record back to back Major playoffs appearances. Despite their rough start in Stage 3 of the BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major, The MongolZ picked up the pace towards the end and their qualification match in the 2-2 pool against G2 turned out to be a nail-biter.
Going all the way to 28-25 in favor of The MongolZ on Dust2, the second map became the longest running one in a Counter-Strike 2 Major. Senzu who came under scrutiny for flunking out in pressure situations, came in clutch, delivering a stunning performance for The MongolZ.
At the end of regulation (12-12) Senzu sat at 36 frags and sprinted to 56 by the end of the map at 28-25, the highest ever by a player in a single map at Counter-Strike Majors. The Mongolian star toppled NiKo's long-standing record which came at the MLG Columbus 2016 Major, making his feat even more impressive. NiKo dropped 52 frags for MOUZ in their game against Flipsid3.
The MongolZ are set to take on FaZe in their quarter-final game. FaZe handed The MongolZ a crushing 0-2 defeat in the group stage. With teams like Vitality, Spirit, MOUZ and NAVI locked-in, the BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major is all set to deliver an electrifying playoffs phase.
