Senzu masterclass puts The MongolZ into Austin Major 2025 Playoffs
G2 were hit by a Senzu masterclass as The MongolZ 2-0'd Snax and his boys to move into the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Playoffs, getting out of Stage 3 with a 3-2 record and locking in the seventh and penultimate Playoffs spot. The second map of the series, Dust2, was a thriller with G2 fighting tooth and nail to keep themselves in the Major and it took five overtimes to finalise a winner.
The MongolZ's pick of Ancient saw a back and forth opening half that saw The MongolZ close the half with two in a row to tie up the half on their CT half. A flawless T side led by 910's AWP saw The MongolZ start the series with a 13-6 win to go 1-0 up.
Dust2 was an absolute brawl that saw Senzu and HeavyGod go head to head against each other in a back and forth map that saw overtime galores as The MongolZ dropped a massive 5v3 post plant in the fourth OT to have malbsMd clutch a 1v2 to push the game to OT 5. Five overtimes was finally the final one as bLitz's quad opener in the first round of OT 5 set the tone for a clean sweep that saw The MongolZ close it at 28-25 with Senzu on top of the scoreboard with 56 kills.
The win sees The MongolZ make the top 8 of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, locking in a Playoffs spot while it is the end of the road in Austin for G2, who exit with a 2-3 record.
