Vitality's 30-match LAN win streak comes to an end

Austin Major Stage 3 Day 1: Standings

Legacy ends Vitality's historic LAN win streak

Upsets and underdogs have been the centerpieces of the BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major so far and Stage 3 went on to enforce these further. The community rejoiced at the beginning of Stage 3 after a menacing Pick'Em turnout in the earlier stages. Teams like Vitality, MOUZ, FaZe or even Spirit were looked at as guaranteed 3-0 picks.

Vitality who were on a 30-game LAN win streak met with a colossal upset as Legacy stomped a 13-3 win in a bo1 on Inferno. The Brazilian side weren't even supposed to be at the Austin Major and have now inflicted one of the biggest upsets in this Major so far.

Lynn Vision who were popular 0-3 picks in the previous stages were yet again underestimated. The Chinese took down Liquid, further denting everyone's Pick'Ems. The s1mple-XANTARES clash in FaZe's game against Aurora saw the Turkish side win their opening bo1, however FaZe found their form and took down world #2, MOUZ in their next match.

The MongolZ who bagged a direct Stage 3 invite were also a popular 3-0 pick in this stage of the Major, given their track record in group stages but the Mongolian side fell to FalleN's FURIA in the opener but took down Liquid in the 0-1 pool. They now lock horns with Lynn Vision in the 1-1 pool.

Spirit, NAVI, FURIA and Virtus.pro remain flawless so far and on the other hand, MOUZ, Liquid, paIN and Nemiga are yet to open their accounts in Stage 3.
