BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 3: Day 2 Recap

The second day at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 3 saw the first two teams book their place in the Playoffs while we also had to say goodbye to the first two teams exiting the Stage. A day which had plenty of action again including some vintage s1mple highlights, we also have The MongolZ on the brink of qualification.

If you missed the action, here's a quick recap of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 3 Day 2.

1-1 Bracket

Vitality smash 3DMAX; s1mple show gets FaZe over the line against Legacy

Vitality put in a commanding performance against 3DMAX in their 1-1 bracket Bo1 on Nuke as apEX's boys steamrolled the French team 13-2 to move into the 2-1 bracket. On the other side, it was FaZe taking on Legacy and the Brazilians fell to a classic s1mple show as the Ukrainian icon put up a stellar show with the AWP to see FaZe pick up a 13-8 win on Anubis.

Vitality and FaZe are now one win away from making Playoffs while both 3DMAX and Legacy are a loss away from elimination.

G2 smash Aurora, Lynn Vision unable to get past The MongolZ

G2 kicked off the second round of games in the 1-1 bracket with snax's boys dominating Aurora 13-4 on Inferno with huNter- having a strong performance. The other game in the 1-1 bracket was the Asian derby and despite a promising CT half, Lynn Vision had no answer to The MongolZ's defence on Nuke, which saw bLitz and co. take a 13-7 win.

FalleN returns to the Major Playoffs; reigning Major champions go 3-0

The advancement games saw FURIA run through Virtus.pro in straight sets to go 3-0 and make the Major playoffs, a first for FalleN since 2019 while reigning Major champions Spirit fought back hard on Anubis before dispatching Natus Vincere on Train, to also pick up a 2-0 win.

Spirit and FURIA become the first two teams to make the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Playoffs. NAVI and VP though, have two more chances to make it through.

Painful exit for Nemiga; MOUZ hang on by the skin of their teeth

paiN sent Nemiga home from Stage 3, with the Russian team being the first to be eliminated. The Brazilians reverse swept Nemiga after an 8-13 loss on Ancient before turning things around on Anubis and Dust2.

The final game of the day saw ultimate try his level best to keep Liquid in Austin but it was MOUZ stealing a 2-1 win to keep themselves alive at the Austin Major 2025 Stage 3 for one more day as MOUZ moves into the 1-2 bracket.
