Grayfox Esports shuts down CS2 division

The org’s VALORANT roster also likely to exit the scene

Dust2 India have learnt from sources that Grayfox Esports have shutdown their Counter-Strike 2 division. The org entered the Counter-Strike 2 scene, picking up returning veterans rite2ace and Marzil in January 2024.

In early April 2024 rumours floated in the Indian Counter-Strike and Esports regarding Grayfox’s exit from the Esports scene as a whole but at the time with no official channels confirming the same, it was no more than a speculation.

Having parted ways with the org, the Grayfox Esports CS2 roster will not continue their M88 Open or ESEA Open campaign, citing hindrance in practice routines. While the Counter-Strike team is still together, the nature and capacity of their future endeavours are still unknown.

In a conversation with Dust2 India, Grayfox’s veteran star rite2ace mentioned that he was grateful for the opportunity and expressed his gratitude towards the community. The Indian Counter-Strike veteran summed up his Grayfox experience as “Not very good but not very bad”.

Grateful for the opportunity as CS2 in Asia/India is small right now and any org trying to enter and support deserves respect. Our results were quite decent, consistently top 3 in the past 4 months. But sadly it has come to an end for now so lets see where the future takes us but I did enjoy a lot competing these past 4 months in CS2.
