The MongolZ bring back glory to Asia

Asia's best showcase their class on the international stage

It was history being created in Abu Dhabi as The MongolZ took down one of Counter-Strike's most iconic organisations, Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) at the YaLLa Compass 2024 Grand Final to win the $400,000 LAN event in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

What made the victory even more special was the fact that it was the Asian region's first major championship win in almost 14 years! South Korea's WeMade FOX's triumph at the World eSports Masters 2010, in November 2010 was the last time an Asian team triumphed on the international region, taking a major trophy. That win was on Counter-Strike 1.6! More than a decade later, The MongolZ have brought the spotlight and accolades back to the region.

The YaLLa Compass 2024 LAN title was also The MongolZ's second LAN championship win of the year, with it being consecutive triumphs for bLitz and his boys after their triumph at home, winning the MESA Nomadic Masters 2024 just a couple of weeks before their YaLLa Compass 2024 triumph.
