Revenant choke against Verdant
Indian organisation Revenant, who recently re-entered the Counter-Strike scene with an European roster, were in action at the CCT Season 2 Europe Series 6 Closed Qualifier, taking on Verdant in the Group D opening game.
The series kicked off on Verdant's pick of Vertigo and after a strong T side from the British-majority team, Verdant saw off an comeback attempt from NBK- and co. to hang on for a 13-11 win. Revenant started their pick of Mirage with a clean pistol on their T side and put up a domiant attack going 8-0 up. NBK- and co. finished with a 10-2 lead but Verdant fought back on their T side and brought it to a one round game at 10-11. Diviiii's 1v2 in the final round of regulation saw Verdant stick the comeback as Mirage was sent to overtime.
Verdant made sure there was no need for a third map as they secured a 16-13 win in overtime to take the series 2-0.
