The MongolZ cling to life at Cologne

IEM Cologne Play-In’s Lower Bracket Round 1 concluded with two Asian teams facing the threat of elimination as The MongolZ squared off against FlyQuest. The best-of-three series began on Anubis, where Techno’s 113 ADR pushed Mongolz to a 7-5 CT half. With little opposition, they went on to close out the map with a 13-8 win.

The BO3 continued on Ancient, and so did the Mongolian domination. Kicking off the proceedings on the T-side, The Mongolz put themselves in a really comfortable spot at the end of the first half, leading by a 11-1 margin. The map ended quickly, despite flickers of resurgence ignited by a pistol round victory for FlyQuest, who ultimately lost 13-4
