TALON, Rooster book upper-bracket final in Oceanic Closed Qualifier
Rooster started on the CT-side of Mirage in their upper-bracket semi-final against The Art of War. Back to back multi-kill rounds from TjP put Rooster in the driver's seat, pushing The Art of War down to an 8-4 disadvantage. The latter clawed back a couple of rounds towards the end of the half which still went 8-4 in favor of Rooster.
A pistol round win was all that The Art of War could manage in the second half, as Rooster closed out Mirage 13-5 with sliimey topping the charts at a HLTV rating of 1.62 and 18 frags to his name.

The second upper-bracket semi-final saw the newly formed TALON take on Mindfreak. Starting on the CT-side of Ancient, TALON secured an 8-4 half in their favor with nettik once against performing a cut above the rest, putting up a 2.06 rating CT-half.
After TALON reached match point at 12-6, gump and Texta strung up a few rounds together but right on the verge of hitting double figures, Mindfreak fumbled the deciding round, giving TALON a 13-9 win.

With these wins, Rooster and TALON have booked their upper-bracket finals, set to take place tomorrow afternoon. The Art of War and Mindfreak will be in action tomorrow in the lower-bracket semi-finals, with elimination haunting both teams. The first round of the lower-bracket featuring Vantage, KZG, Arcade and Housebets will conclude today's play.
