Counter-Strike's best win streaks on LAN
In a game like Counter-Strike where momentum does most of a team's heavy lifting, we've seen teams put up iconic eras over the last decade and a few of these greats have gone on absolute rampages, piling up massive win streaks. Here we're taking a look at some of the best win streaks teams have put up on LAN.
First up let's take a look at a few honorable mentions:
NAVI: 15 wins (2021)
G2: 12 wins (2022-23)
FaZe: 13 wins (2023)
*The list has been updated until Vitality's IEM Melbourne 2025 victory.
With that out of the way, here's the top five longest Counter-Strike win streaks on LAN:
1. Ninjas in Pyjamas - 60 wins (2012-13)

When the Counter-Strike world was still struggling to transition to Global Offensive, the newest Counter-Strike iteration, coming in as Source's successor, one team fully committed themselves to embracing the transition, going on one of the most dominant LAN runs till date. A record so ludicrous, it remains untouched today and probably will, for the foreseeable future.
Prime Ninjas in Pyjamas began their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive LAN journey with back to back wins at SteelSeries GO 2012, DreamHack Valencia 2012 and ESWC 2012. Spanning over a year and 60 games, their LAN win streak came to an end at SLTV StarSeries V Finals. A stellar performance from Dosia saw Virtus.pro 2-0 NiP to end their LAN win streak.
The Ninjas in Pyjamas roster during this run was:

2. Liquid - 23 wins (2019)

After Liquid's loss to Astralis in the semi-final of the FACEIT London 2018 Major, the NA-side had an on-off rest of the year, clearing a few A and B-tier events but going into 2019, Liquid looked different, this was a refreshed Liquid looking to go berserk and make it big. Towards the middle of 2019, Liquid went on a mammoth win streak on LAN, which began at ESL Pro League Season 9.
After a bo1 loss to North, Liquid went on to put up a flawless tournament thereafter, taking down FaZe, mouseports and G2 in the playoffs, fetching themselves a title win.
Their win streak stretched across ESL One: Cologne 2019, IEM Chicago 2019 and BLAST Pro Series: Los Angeles 2019. It came to an end when Liquid went down to NRG in the legends stage of the StarLadder Berlin 2019 Major. The end of the streak also marked the end of Liquid's era as the NA org have not won a noticeable event ever since. Liquid also completed the Intel Grand Slam in 2019.

3. Vitality - 21 wins (2025)*

Hot on Liquid's tail are Vitality, who are having a phenomenal 2025 so far, turning everything they touch into gold. After an explosive XANTARES performance handed them a 0-2 loss in the quarter-final of BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1, Vitality one-upped their game, putting up a flawless IEM Katowice 2025 run, taking down FaZe, Virtus.pro, The MongolZ and Spirit in the process.
Vitality came into 2025 with an early change, bringing in ropz from FaZe to replace Sphinx. The stellar Estonian rifler fit right into the apEX's system adding immense firepower alongside ZywOo's AWP. Vitality went on to win ESL Pro League Season 21, BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 and most recently- IEM Melbourne 2025, where they also completed the ESL Grand Slam.
Currently at 21 wins, Vitality are the only team in the list who are still active in their win streak and are just a couple of LAN wins away from levelling Vitality's record. Vitality's next match is against Wildcard at BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 1.
The Vitality roster for this run is: apEX
ZywOo
ropz
Mezi
FlameZ
4. Astralis - 17 wins (2018-19)

One of the most feared teams in their prime, Astralis had just flummoxed Liquid with a shocking veto in the semi-final of the FACEIT London 2018 Major and went on to win the Major. The Danes then put up a flawless run at BLAST Pro Series: Istanbul 2018 but this isn't even the streak we're talking about. Astralis's peak was so goat-ed that the Danes are the only candidates to have four entries in the top ten LAN win streaks list.
Astralis's 17-game LAN win streak came towards the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019. The Danes were coming off of two online win streaks of 11 and 12. Their playoffs run at Esports Championship Series Season 6 - Finals and flawless runs at ESL Pro League Season 8 and BLAST Pro Series: Lisbon 2018 netted Astralis 14 LAN wins in a row.
Astralis started iBUYPOWER Masters IV with wins against Complexity, Cloud9 and Ghost, taking their LAN win streak to 17 before going down to Liquid in the grand-final right after which the Danes put up another win streak of 14 on LAN across IEM Katowice 2019 Major, BLAST Pro Series: São Paulo 2019 and BLAST Pro Series: Miami 2019.

5. NAVI - 15 wins (2021)

Going into late 2019 and early 2020, both Liquid and Astralis were slowly running out of momentum, failing to reproduce their vigor from the previous year in terms of performance. NAVI looked very dangerous, with an in-form s1mple, wreaking havoc on their opponents. At IEM Katowice 2020, NAVI took down both Liquid and Astralis before toppling G2 3-0 in the grand-final.
However, the world was forced indoors for a better part of a year thereafter in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. Counter-Strike returned to a LAN setting in July 2021 at IEM Cologne where NAVI took down Renegades, Vitality, Astralis, FaZe and G2 to pull off a flawless title win, starting their incredible LAN streak.
A phenomenal run at the PGL Stockholm 2021 Major fetched s1mple his maiden Major title and kept NAVI's win streak going which continued across BLAST Premier Fall Final 2021. NAVI conceded a 1-2 series to Liquid at BLAST Premier World Final 2021 ending their LAN win streak of 15 but they sill went on to win the tournament after taking down Gambit 2-1 in the grand-final.
