FlyQuest go down fighting to FaZe
FlyQuest fought hard but fell to FaZe to exit from the BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 1, going down to karrigan and co. in a thrilling two map affair which saw the Australian squad nearly pull off incredible comebacks in both maps.
FlyQuest's pick of Inferno picked off with the Australian team starting with the T pistol but FaZe's response of the force saw them take control of the half and go 9-3 up at the half. INS and co. though weren't going down easy as they mounted an incredible comeback to push it to all rounds of regulation just to fall at the final step, going down 11-13. It was another 9-3 half to get things underway for FaZe on their own pick but once again FlyQuest pulled things back in the second half, this time on their T side and held on against four map and match points.
A regali 1v3 in the final round of regulation saw FlyQuest push the map to overtime where they got things going with two back-to-back 3v5s but it was a trade of rounds as neither team was able to close which saw FaZe huff and puff to get over the line at 22-18 in third overtime.
While the loss marks the end of the road for FlyQuest at BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 1, FaZe move on into the quarter-finals.
