Spirit stomp FlyQuest
BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 1 is underway as Australian team FlyQuest took on Spirit in the opening game of group B. Spirit were coming off of a small break after missing a couple of events. The first map of the bo3 took us to Mirage which was picked by FlyQuest.
FlyQuest were met with an aggressive donk on the CT-side, disrupting and dismantling FlyQuest's T-side. Mirage was a frag-fest between sh1ro and donk with both of them putting up HLTV ratings over 2.45 and ADRs in excess of 140. After handing FlyQuest a 2-10 beating in the first half, Spirit put up a clean T-side to take Mirage 13-2.
Going into Nuke Vexite's USP slapped zont1x and donk out of the pistol round, netting FlyQuest the pistol on the CT-side. nettik's multi-frag rounds saw FlyQuest convert the anti-eco and bonus to get off to a 3-0 start but Spirit bounced back once the gun rounds began and a eventually levelled the score at 4-4. FlyQuest were about finish the first half with a slight advantage but a massive Tec9 triple from zont1x in lobby, stole the round in Spirit's favor, levelling the half 6-6.
donk's triple kill round with the USP saw Spirit take the pistol and run off with a 6-0 start in the second half sprinting to match point at 12-6. nettik's multi-frag rounds kept FlyQuest afloat temporarily until Spirit's economy recovered as the Russian side closed out Nuke 13-9, wrapping the series 2-0.
Spirit will take stage again later in the day, facing off against FaZe or the new-look Falcons which might give us the exciting m0NESY-donk clash. FlyQuest head down to the lower-bracket where they play their elimination game tomorrow.
