Vitality make it 25 in a row as they lift BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 1 trophy
Vitality continued their incredible run as they beat Falcons 3-2 in the Grand Final of BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 1 to not only lift the trophy but also extended their win-streak to 25 games in a row. The BLAST Rivals title was also apEX and his boys' fifth consecutive title win.
Vitality's pick of Inferno kicked off the series with a tied opening half as Vitality needed three in a row to end their T side to tie up the score with m0NESY shutting down Vitality early on. A strong T side saw Falcons end Vitality's Inferno run as they stole a 13-9 win. ZywOo powered Vitality's defence to a 9-3 lead on Dust2 with Vitality tying up the series with a commanding 13-6 win.
apEX and co. continued that momentum into their second pick of Train as after a tight opening half a near flawless defensive hold saw them lock in another 13-6 win with flameZ stepping up with 20 kills. With their backs against the wall and one map away from another series and grand final loss to Vitality, it was the m0NESY show on Falcons' second pick of Mirage which saw them go 9-3 up on their T side but it was Vitality pulling things back from a 3-12 score line as they pushed it to overtime on the back of an intuitive ZywOo 1v2. The clutches came on coming as it was m0NESY 1v2 to close the map at 16-14 with Falcons holding on to tie up the series 2-2.
Nuke seemed like Vitality would run away with it as they raced to a 7-1 lead before a late resurgence from the Falcons saw them keep it to a two round deficit. Vitality's second half pistol win saw them race a way to an 11-5 lead before the Falcons showed some resistance on their T side but it wasn't enough as Vitality didn't give the room for any comeback and closed it out at 13-8 to take the series 3-2 and win BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 1.
Not only did Vitality win the BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 1 and net a prize money of $125,000 but also extended their unbeaten run to 25 games in a row as apEX and his boys continue to create history and write themselves into the Counter-Strike history books. Vitality and Falcons will be next seen in action at IEM Dallas 2025 which begins in about two weeks with the Dallas tournament starting off their US run which will be followed by the Austin Major 2025.
