
StarLadder to host second Major of 2025 in Budapest
StarLadder have revealed that they will be hosting the second Counter-Strike Major 2025 in Budapest, Hungary. The Major will take place between November 24 - December 14, 2025 and will have 32 teams and four stages, being the second Major to feature 32 teams following the upcoming BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 which will feature 32 teams for the first time. The Major will have a prize pool of $1,250,000.
StarLadder has also announced that all stages of the Major will have a live audience. The first three stages will take place at the MTK Sportpark while the Playoffs will be at the MVM Dome. Fans can already buy the tickets for the major from the Ticketfairy website.

Earlier in January 2025, India-based esports and gaming firm NODWIN Gaming had completed a complete acquisition of StarLadder.
The Budapest Major will be StarLadder's first Counter-Strike Major since the Berlin Major in 2019. After a lengthy period away from the game, StarLadder announced last year that it would host events in 2025 and 2026. While the first event of 2025 was cancelled, StarLadder will be hosting an event this year in Budapest aside from the Major in September 2025.
