The MongolZ edge out NAVI to make Playoffs in Astana
The MongolZ overcame a resilient Natus Vincere (NAVI) in their swiss round 3 game where bLitz and co. took down NAVI 2-0 to move into the Playoffs with a flawless 3-0 record at PGL Astana 2025.
The opening map of the series was The MongolZ's pick of Inferno, which saw the Asian team get off to the worst possible start going 1-7 down on their CT side, before salvaging it to a four round half. With the young mzinho powering up, a strong T side from The MongolZ saw them steal a 13-11 win. NAVI's pick of Mirage saw a back and forth opening half, as bLitz led from the front to see his team take a four round lead. NAVI threatened to steal the map on the back of a five-round T side streak before The MongolZ held on for another 13-11 win, locking in a 2-0 series win.
The MongolZ's win over NAVI sees them become the first team to make the Playoffs at PGL Astana 2025 while NAVI drop to the 2-1 bracket and will have two more chances to make it to the playoffs.
