PGL Astana breaks multiple viewership records

PGL Astana concluded yesterday with Spirit breezing through the grand-final, putting up a 3-1 win against Astralis in the bo5. At the helm of Spirit's attack was donk once again, who dropped a 1.51 HLTV rating across the grand-final and secured the tournament MVP for his stellar form throughout the tournament.

A new-look Astralis with Hooxi calling the shots saw the Danes battle their way into the grand-final, quickly becoming a captivating storyline at PGL Astana. It wasn't to be however, but Hooxi's Astralis debut did garner in a significant number of viewers throughout their playoffs run. All of Astralis's playoffs games make it to top five most watched matches at PGL Astana 2025.

As per Esports Charts Spirit's grand-final against Astralis saw a peak viewership number of 920,009, making it the most popular esports event in Kazakhstan. The event also went on to become the most popular PGL non-Major event and the most popular PGL event in 2025 so far.
