Gods Reign & Skyesports leadership face serious misconduct allegations

@letsgrowesports calls out incidents from last year on X

T/W: DEATH THREATS

The Indian Counter-Strike scene has seen more downs than ups over the last year and the esports scene in the country as a whole also doesn't seem to be doing great in terms of professional conduct and morality, among other functional issues.

The latest link in this chain of controversies comes from @letsgrowesports, an esports news outlet that holds a prominent place in the community. @letsgrowesports took to X yesterday, alleging Skyesports and Gods Reign's leadership figures of major misconduct.

In his writeup, @letsgrowesports alleges that Skyesports' CEO Shiva Nandy and Gods Reign's owner K.R Rohit had abused him "out of nowhere", "for no reason", through phone calls. @letsgrowesports claims that these incidents took place in October 2024. The allegations get progressively disturbing; "They were drunk, and I got death threats from them—literally said they’d “bury me in front of my house” the next day." said @letsgrowesports in his post on X.

He claims that the call came from Shiva Nandy's phone and lasted for around 30 minutes where some players of Gods Reign also joined the call to hurl abuses but only minor parts of it were recorded, blaming iOS for not having an inbuilt call-recording feature. The official handle of Bengaluru Police, @BlrCityPolice, replied to the post asking @letsgrowesports to file a formal complaint.

These allegations surface just as Skyesports were walking away from another serious controversy where a female employee of Skyesports had alleged Shiva Nandy and a few other members of Skyesports of sexual misconduct. Gods Reign on the other hand had come under scrutiny in early 2025 for delaying payments to foreign entities citing "the owner's marriage" as the reason.

Dust2 India has reached out to Skyesports and Gods Reign for an official statement from their on this matter but neither parties have given an official response to our queries on the situation yet or have made a public statement since @letsgrowesports' allegations were posted on X. This is a developing story and updates shall follow as and when made public by Skyesports, Gods Reign, @letsgrowesports or any other parties involved.
