IEM Dallas 2025 playoffs: Preview

IEM Dallas 2025 enters it's concluding phase today with the playoffs. Six teams from two groups have locked in their playoffs slots with Vitlity and MOUZ starting directly in the semi-final. The pride of Asia, The MongolZ begin their campaign in the quarter-final against Aurora.

The first quarter-final game takes place today at 11:45 PM IST. The MongolZ are set to lock horns with Aurora's Turkish lineup for the 17th time, with The MongolZ having a slightly better head-to-head record. However, their recent clash with Aurora saw the Turkish side eliminate them in the quarter-final of PGL Astana 2025 with a 2-0.

On the other side of the bracket, Falcons with kyxan at the helm and the NiKo-m0NESY duo in his arsenal takes on GamerLegion. The winner of this clash sets up a semi-final match against Vitality in an attempt to break their phenomenal LAN win streak and make a grand-final appearance at IEM Dallas 2025.

Vitality have been flawless in the tournament so far and The MongolZ came the closest to taking them down in the upper-final of group A. A two-round difference kept The MongolZ from taking the series and breaking Vitality's streak. Sent to the lower-bracket by The MongolZ, GamerLegion scraped through with 2-1s against FURIA and G2, to book their playoffs spot.

MOUZ did not drop a single map in group B, taking down BC.Game, Liquid and Falcons to make it to the semi-final. Knocked down to the lower-bracket by HEROIC in the first round, Aurora put up an impressive run in the lower-bracket setting up a rematch in the lower-final and eliminating HEROIC to make the playoffs.
