QeeYou breeze past Firedup Gaming

Firedup Gaming concedes 0-2 series

Firedup Gaming took on QeeYou in the first grand-final of the National Esports Championships 2025 with the latter coming out victorious in a relatively lop-sided affair that saw f1redup and reV3nnnn's squad take a comfortable 2-0 win.

The first map of the bo3 took us to Anubis with QeeYou on the CT-side. QeeYou got off to a solid 3-0 start but Firedup Gaming stole a Tec9 round, denying QeeYou a retake on A-site. Coming back from a short tec pause, QeeYou returned the favor, derailing Firedup Gaming's late B-hit with a partial buy the very next round. QeeYou had the opportunity to extend their CT-side lead but once again Firedup Gaming ran down rev3nnnn's AWP on the B-site and denied the retake, salvaging a 5-7 half still in QeeYou's favor however.

Pistol and anti-eco wins on the T-side followed by a bonus round ace from CycloneF fueled QeeYou towards double figured on the dominant side of Anubis. R2B2 outplayed Exzite and PwN in round 16, clutching up a 1v2. Firedup Gaming's woes continued as Exzite took down rev3nnnn in a 1v1 post-plant but lost the round to time, giving QeeYou their map point at 12-6 as they closed out Anubis 13-6.

Firedup Gaming came into Ancient a map down in the series and had to take down QeeYou on one of their stronger maps just to stay alive in the series and push the series into the decider. Firedup Gaming got off to a 4-0 start on the T-side but QeeYou recovered to level the score. Dropping just a single round thereafter, QeeYou fetched themselves a 7-5 half.

QeeYou sprinted to match point off of rev3nnnn and CycloneF's T-side aggression, dropping just a couple of rounds in the process. A quick A-site hit saw QeeYou get the C4 down early and hold the post plant to close out Ancient 13-7. QeeYou wrapped the series 2-0 and now advance to the second grand-final that determines the winner of NESC CS2 2025.
