Techno on The MongolZ becoming the official esports team of Mongolia: "It's a really meaningful thing for us"

In a Dust2.us interview, Jeffrey "Mnmzzz" Moore spoke to Techno at IEM Dallas 2025 after The MongolZ took down Aurora in their quarter-final matchup. Among other things, Techno shared his thoughts on The MongolZ being announced as the official esports team of Mongolia by the Mongolian government.

He mentions how the honor also comes with certain advantages like the visa process and travel insurance towards tournaments that The MongolZ attend.

A couple months ago, you were announced as the official Esports Team of Mongolia. I wanted to ask, what is it like to receive that honor from your government?

I say this one always, it's a really meaningful thing for us. It's an honor to be the nations team. There's also some advantages for us, like the visas and travel insurance.

When asked about the fame that The MongolZ have garnered over time and the height of their cultural impact, Techno says that the team reflects on their past struggles, remembers where they came from and tries not to be arrogant. Jeff's question comes off of Bleh's recent remark on HLTV confirmed where the Indian analyst stated that The MongolZ are common faces in Mongolian advertisements.

I heard on a recent episode of HLTV Confirmed, Bleh mentioned seeing your guys' faces everywhere on advertisements, that you're superstars in Mongolia. You're still a pretty young guy and you've only recently hit this high level of success. What's it like being famous in Mongolia?

It feels great for all of us. Also, we don't try to be too arrogant. We must know ourselves. We should remember our hard times and not be arrogant.
