New VRS update decides IEM Cologne invites

Valve released their Valve Regional Standings update for June 2025 and this update determines invites for a couple of high profile events. Taking place towards the end of July 2025, IEM Cologne 2025's invite list will be finalized today.

The top eight teams in the Global VRS as of today will bag direct invites to IEM Cologne 2025. These teams are:

1. Vitality
2. MOUZ
3. Spirit
4. Falcons
5. The MongolZ
6. Aurora
7. G2
8. NAVI

The next sixteen teams in the Global VRS will receive invites to the IEM Cologne 2025 Play-in which hosts a straight forward double-elimination bo3 bracket and sends the top eight teams to the main event.

Invites for the Esports World Cup 2025 are also scheduled to go out today based on the Global VRS. Top fifteen teams from the Global VRS will receive invites to the Esports World Cup 2025 which will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia towards the end of August 2025. TYLOO's win at the HERO Asian Champions League 2025 nets them an Esports World Cup 2025 slot.
