BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 2 Day 3: Recap

As the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 2 comes to its business end, the teams going home and advancing to the next stage also become clearer. The third day's action at the Austin Major 2025 Stage 2 saw some massive upsets and we lost one of the tournament favourites in Falcons while FaZe also had a hiccup.

TYLOO sent home; M80's dreams crushed

TYLOO's run at the Austin Major 2025 ended in Stage 2 as the Chinese team dropped a 1-0 lead in their 1-2 series against HEROIC to get reverse swept out of the Major. After putting up a strong fight in the opening map of Ancient, M80 went missing on Dust2 which saw Nemiga eliminate M80 to keep themselves alive for another day.

Lynn Vision falter in qualifying; Falcons exit after woeful Inferno show

paiN made light work of the second Chinese team in Stage 2 as the Brazilians picked up a relatively comfortable 2-0 to see themselves make it to Stage 3 with a 3-1 record while Falcons fell to MIBR in a lengthy and scrappy series that saw a triple overtime affair have MIBR reverse sweep Falcons out of the Major.

FURIA, after being hammered 3-13 on Mirage, reverse swept B8 to qualify for Stage 3 as FalleN and co. confirmed a final 16 berth for themselves while the final game of the day saw 3DMAX stun FaZe in straight maps to qualify for Stage 3 over karrigan and co., who now have just one more chance left to move ahead.
