BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major playoffs: Preview

The BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major moves on to its concluding phase as eight teams have locked in playoffs appearances. Thirty-two teams took part in the Austin Major across three Swiss system iterations and Legacy who were called in as a last minute replacement made the deepest run from Stage 1.

Three out of the eight teams in the playoffs- FaZe, FURIA and paIN have made it through from Stage 2. Let's take a quick look at how the playoffs bracket has shaped up. The first quarter-final game starts at 12:30 AM IST on Friday featuring a Brazilian derby between FURIA and paIN.

FURIA put up a dominant 3-0 run in Stage 3 while paIN fought through Stages 2 and 3. After initial hurdles, Vitality and FaZe powered through with 3-1 runs. The pride of Asia, The MongolZ went down to FaZe in their opening game but scraped through with a 3-2 after taking down G2 in the 2-2 pool.

Wins over Nemiga, 3DMAX and G2 see NAVI make it through from the 3-1 pool. The matchups for the quarter-finals are as follows:
