
Lynn Vision mirror TYLOO’s deepest Major run
The BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major has seen some great storylines so far. One of them being Lynn Vision, the Chinese Counter-Strike team that just doesn't give up. Lynn Vision attracted a lot of criticism for their sub-par performances over the last year, but they kept their heads high and bagged a Stage 1 spot at the BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major.
Even before the Austin Major began it was a big deal for Chinese Counter-Strike. For the first time ever, two Chinese teams were at a Counter-Strike Major. At the Austin Major, alongside Lynn Vision were TYLOO one of the most celebrated Chinese Counter-Strike teams. TYLOO arguably put Chinese Counter-Strike on the map.
Lynn Vision's Austin Major journey began from the Chinese MRQ where they put up a dominant run and coming into Stage 1, Lynn Vision were the most popular 0-3 pick in the Pick'Em. Paying no heed to the predictions, Lynn Vision took down NRG in their 2-2 match, heading into the next stage. This in itself was an achievement for Lynn Vision considering that this was the farthest they'd ever gone in a Major.
Stage 2 however, saw teams like Falcons, FaZe, VP and FURIA among others. After Lynn Vision's opening round loss to FURIA, they were up against the star-studded Falcons. The matchup was predicted to be an walk in the park for the NiKo-m0NESY duo but things took a big turn. Defying all odds, Lynn Vision took down Falcons on Nuke. A 1.97 rating CT-side from z4kr, saw Lynn Vision pull off one of the biggest upsets of the Major.
In the 2-2 pool, Lynn Vision sent B8 home, a team that had advanced 3-0 in the previous stage. Lynn Vision started Stage 3 with yet another big win, over Liquid this time. But Lynn Vision could not put up another win in the Legends stage, crashing out 1-3 after losses to Spirit, The MongolZ and Legacy.
Securing a top 15 finish at the Austin Major, Lynn Vision stand alongside TYLOO for the deepest run a Chinese team has put up at a Counter-Strike Major. TYLOO's top 15 finish came at the FACEIT London 2018 Major where they too crashed out 1-3 in the Legends Stage.
