Vitality take down NAVI to make Austin Major semis
Vitality's dominant season continued as apEX and his boys took down Natus Vincere (NAVI) in straight maps at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 quarter-finals which sees the world no.1 team move into the semi-finals, joining MOUZ and paiN.
The series kicked off on Mirage with a big clutch from mezii to get Vitality's CT half going before and Aleksib and iM 2v4 saw NAVI manage to tie up the opening half at 6-6 on their map pick. A second half pistol and conversion had the pathway clear for a close game but it was ZywOo and flameZ's late activations that saw Vitality close Mirage at 13-9 on the back of five straight rounds.
An aggressive T side led by ZywOo saw Vitality start with a seven round T side on their pick of Nuke. NAVI fought back even though lost the pistol and conversion to bring it to a one round game at 9-10 before Vitality stole a round with upgraded pistols and MP9s that saw apEX close out a 1v1 against NAVI's captain to have Vitality hold on for a 13-11 win to seal the series 2-0.
The win sees Vitality move into the semi-finals where they will face MOUZ for a spot in the Grand Final of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.
