tomiko leads the charge for Alter Ego as Ph1NNN and co. qualifies for Closed Qualifiers
Ph1NNN, who was the lone remaining Indian representative at the ESL Pro League Season 22 Asia Open Qualifier, made sure that his journey carried on until the Closed Qualifier as Ph1NNN and his Alter Ego squad took down Mongolian team SIXIXIXIXIX in the Asia Open Qualifier quarter-final to lock in a semi-final spot. With a top four spot confirmed, Alter Ego have made their way to the Closed Qualifier.
SIXIXIXIX's pick of Mirage was a blowout as an 8-0 defensive start from Ph1NNN and co. saw them run away to a dominating 13-2 win on the opening map with tomiko topping the scoreboard with 18 kills. Anubis saw the Mongolian team put up a better fight to get things about but BnTeT and kaito's B holds along with a b1lal 1v3 on the A site saw Alter Ego find late momentum to take a 8-4 lead at the break.
A quick B hit opened and closed by tomiko saw Alter Ego pick up both pistols on their map pick. Despite the conversion again the force, Alter Ego dropped a round on the A site to pistols and a MP9. That low buy win saw the Mongolian team bring it to a 7-10 scoreline before a b1lal quad opener on the B site from Connector saw Alter Ego find their 11th. Impact from tomiko and BnTeT in the final two rounds saw Alter Ego close out their pick at 13-8 with tomiko and b1lal at the top of the scoreboard with 20 and 19 kills respectively.
The win not only puts Alter Ego into the semi-finals of the ESL Pro League Season 22 Asia Open Qualifier but also confirms their place in the Closed Qualifier, as the top four teams from the Open Qualifier will make it to the Closed Qualifier.
