IHC, FengDa and Chinggis Warriors book EPL S22 Asian CQ playoffs

Housebets, Change The Game and Wings Up end ESL S22 Asian CQ run in Stage 1

The initial round of qualification games have come to a close at the ESL Pro League Season 22 Asian Closed qualifier and four teams have booked playoffs appearances so far, leaving four empty spots for the remaining matchups later today. Following Alter Ego's loss to SemperFi, Ph1NNN bids adieu to his ESL Pro League dreams for the moment.

Here we take a look at how the rest of the games fared out this afternoon.

Change The Game vs Chinggis Warriors

Starting on the CT-side of Ancient, Chinggis Warriors got off to a strong 4-0 start. Change The Game never really got going on the T-side, only managing to win a couple of rounds towards the end of the half, finishing with a 3-9 disadvantage. Following pistol and anti-eco wins, Change The Game were denied the bonus as Chinggis Warriors hit double figures with a five rounds lead on the T-side.

A 2.34 rating CT-side performance from Vance derailed Chinggis Warriors' T-side as Change The Game scaled a nearly impossible comeback, putting up a 10-1 CT-side to take down Chinggis Warriors 13-10. On Anubis, Chinggis Warriors started on the CT-side with a 5-0 lead but fumbled it, splitting an even 6-6 half. A dominant T-side from Chinggis Warriors saw the Mongolians close Anubis 13-8, dropping just a couple of rounds in the second half.

The decider took us to Inferno where Change The Game started on the CT-side with a 3-0 but Chinggis Warriors bounced back quickly to split the half 6-6. ariucle and ROUX went ballistic in the second half, taking Chinggis Warriors to a 5-0 start and closing the game 13-7, dropping just a single round in the second half. Austin Major attendees, Chinggis Warriors have now secured a playoffs spot in the Asian closed qualifier of the ESL Pro League S22.

After conceding the pistol and anti-eco, Housebets put up a valiant effort, stringing five rounds in a row but FengDa held on and closed Inferno 13-9.

After splitting an even 6-6 half on Mirage, Housebets got off to a 4-0 start in the second half, hitting double figures at 10-6 on the T-side. IHC vs Wings Up

The series started with back and forth trades on Nuke but IHC ran away with crucial momentum towards the end, securing a small 7-5 lead on the T-side of Nuke.
